Job Description:
As a Student Visa Counselor at Afflatus Global Visa, you will play a pivotal role in assisting students in securing student visas for their desired study destinations. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive counselling, guiding students through the application process, and ensuring compliance with visa regulations. Your expertise and guidance will contribute significantly to our clients' successful visa applications and academic pursuits.
Responsibilities:
Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with students to understand their academic goals, preferences, and visa requirements.
Provide detailed information about visa application procedures, documentation, and eligibility criteria for various study destinations.
Assist students in selecting appropriate courses and institutions based on their interests and qualifications.
Guide students in preparing and organizing visa application documents, including academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and financial statements.
Stay updated with visa regulations, policy changes, and embassy requirements for different countries.
Coordinate with universities, immigration authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth visa processing and application submissions.
Address any queries or concerns raised by students regarding the visa application process, travel arrangements, or related matters.
Maintain accurate records of student interactions, visa applications, and outcomes for reporting and compliance purposes.
Collaborate with the admissions team and other departments to provide seamless services to students from inquiry to enrollment.
Participate in professional development activities, training sessions, and industry events to enhance counselling skills and stay informed about international education trends.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Education, Counseling).
Minimum 3 years of experience in student visa counselling or related roles within the education or immigration sector.
Strong knowledge of visa regulations, immigration policies, and procedures for popular study destinations (e.g., USA, Canada, UK, Australia).
Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus) with the ability to interact effectively with diverse student populations.
Proven track record of successful visa applications and a deep understanding of the documentation required for visa processing.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver exceptional customer service to students.
Proficiency in using visa processing software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated cultural awareness, sensitivity, and empathy when dealing with students from different backgrounds and nationalities.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ethical counselling practices.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as per business needs.
