Role Overview :

- The ideal candidate will be part of the application development team for a major Insurance client. He/ She will work with different stakeholders to identify application development opportunities and perform cost benefit analysis for the same.

- The role will encompass design, build and configuration of applications to meet business process and application requirements.

- The ideal candidate will be required to participate actively in brainstorming sessions to identify opportunities at process improvement, effective communication with stakeholders and efficient implementation of solutions.

- Should ideally have 5-8 years of experience in a similar role and should display a Get it Done work ethic and an attitude of embracing ambiguity.

- Experience in life insurance preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities & Skillsets :

- Common Skillsets :

1. Robust problem-solving skills; experience in decision analytics.

2. Should be able to work independently on a problem and be able to meet client requirements with minimal or no supervision.

3. Good communication skills for client engagement

4. Exhibit a high degree of curiosity

- Application development Skillsets :

Mandatory :

- Experience in designing, implementation, and testing of Python applications with good understanding of object-oriented programming, multi-tier architecture, parallel/ multithreaded programming.

- 5-8 years of experience as Python Full Stack developer.

- Must have hands on coding experience using Object Oriented methodology.

- Must have knowledge of NumPy, pandas and other common data libraries.

- Must have knowledge of design patterns and their implementation.

- Must be proficient in designing scalable architecture for systems, preferably from scratch.

- Should have experience in a DevOps environment.

- Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall methodology for application development and testing life cycle.

Preferred :

- AWS Cloud experience preferred but not necessary.

- Preferably have experience in financial model building.

- Experience of tensor libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow and other python APIs preferred.

Data Management Skillsets :

- Ability to understand data in line with business use cases and requirements to identify patterns, data quality gaps, data lineage, etc.

- Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements.

Candidate Profile :

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply

- 5-8 years' experience in application development and automation, preferably in Life Insurance but not mandatory

- Application development experience

- Team Management

- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

- Able to work in a fast paced continuously evolving environment, ability to cherish and undertake challenges.

- Comfortably adapts to cross cultural differences and work with global clients.
