Job Title: Generative AI Engineer (Core FastAPI Development) Location: Bengaluru / Mumbai Job Type :: Fulltime Experience: 8-10 Years Work Mode: Hybrid Shift: 2nd Shift Position Overview We are seeking a Generative AI Engineer with strong expertise in FastAPI development to design, build, and deploy robust backend systems powering next-generation AI applications. You will work closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable and high-performing AI-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Python and FastAPI . Develop and expose RESTful APIs for AI-powered services ensuring security, reliability, and scalability. Implement prompt engineering , retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) , and embedding techniques to enhance AI model performance. Integrate vector databases (e.G., Pinecone, ChromaDB) for efficient data storage and retrieval. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype, test, and deploy AI solutions aligned with business goals. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous model integration, testing, and deployment. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backend and AI systems for performance and scalability. Stay updated with advancements in LLMs, generative AI, and backend technologies. Document APIs, workflows, and architectures for team knowledge sharing. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field . 5+ years of backend development experience with Python and FastAPI . Proven experience deploying Generative AI models (LLMs, GANs, VAEs) in production. Strong understanding of prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases . Hands-on experience integrating AI models with RESTful APIs and managing secure API authentication. Proficiency in Docker , Kubernetes , and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) . Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.). Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
