Title: Lead Engineer- Battery DesignLocation: River HQ , Whitefield

Key Responsibilities:

Full product design responsibility, from concept through production and ramp-up.Pragmatic evaluation of design concepts with idealization of physical effects and first principles reasoning approach.Identification of test requirements in relation to stationary batteries, system and subsystem requirements.Define pack architecture wrt cell positioning, interconnections and thermal management.Specification definition (dimensional, functional, performance, manufacturing).Designing critical battery components like busbars, cell holders, thermal interface materials, pressure relief valves etc.Work closely with cross functional teams to map out interdependencies specially -Hardware, Chassis, Integration, CAE and validation teams

Key Skill Required:

B.tech/M.tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics.7-10 years of experience in battery or ESS design.Sound understanding of lithium-ion batteries.Proficient in CAD tools.Proven ability to solve complex structural and thermal problems.Expertise in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
