About The Job:

A Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for actively safeguarding an organization's cloud & Endpoint infrastructure, applications, and data on Endpoints, Azure, GCP and AWS platforms. This role involves hands-on experience in implementing security measures, responding to incidents, and enhancing cybersecurity practices in a cloud environment.


Role: Cyber Security Engineer.

Experience Level: 1 to 2 Years.

Work location: Mumbai/Bangalore/Trivandrum, Remote (only if they will relocate when asked to resume hybrid),

Shift Timing - 4 shifts.


Roles & Responsibilities:

Must to Have:

  • Security Monitoring: Monitor cloud, network and system activities for suspicious behavior, investigate alerts, and maintain security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR\XDR, CSPM, CWPP, WAF, Phishing,and Container runtime security alerts.
  • Secure Web Gateway (SWG): Implement and manage SWG solutions to secure internet traffic, enforce policies, and protect against web-based threats. (Netskope Secure Web Gateway).
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Assist in the deployment and management of DLP solutions to prevent unauthorized data disclosure and leaks.
  • Policy Enforcement: Enforce security policies and best practices related to web usage and data protection, in line with organizational goals and industry standards.
  • Security Hardening: Implement security measures to harden systems and minimize vulnerability.
  • Cloud Security Posture Management & Cloud Workload Protection Platform: Assist in Identification and remediation of misconfigurations in cloud & container infrastructure to prevent security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with best practices. (Palo Alto Prisma Cloud).


Good to have:

  • Incident Response: Play a role in incident response, ensuring timely identification and mitigation of security incidents related to web and data security.
  • Security Reports: Generate and communicate security reports to management and stakeholders, providing insights into the organization's security posture.
  • Documentation: Assist in maintaining the records of security incidents, policies, system configurations, and compliance documentation to ensure a comprehensive and well-documented security environment.
  • Email Security: Good knowledge of of email security solutions such as SPF, DKIM, DMARC, etc
  • Identity and Access Management: Good knowledge of IAM along with SSO, MFA, etc.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related degree or equivalent work experience in a related field

2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

3. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

4. Available to work various shifts to assist with providing 24 × 7 support

5. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python

6. A proactive approach to cybersecurity and a passion for staying updated on industry trends and emerging threats.

7. Security Certifications: Holding hands-on certifications like

  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
  • AWS Certified Security - Specialty.
  • CEHv12, ‎CompTIA CySA+, GCIH, GCFA, etc. (Preferred).
