Job Description – Plumbing Engineer (Mechanical)

Position Title: Plumbing Engineer / Senior Plumbing Engineer
Experience: 3 – 15 Years
Location: Kochi, Kerala
Department: Mechanical (MEP – Plumbing & Firefighting)

Role Summary

We are looking for Plumbing Engineers with 3–15 years of experience in the design, engineering, and execution of Plumbing & Firefighting systems for commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The role involves system design, code compliance, BIM modeling, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Senior professionals will also handle team leadership and client interfacing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and detail water supply, drainage, sewerage, storm water, and rainwater harvesting systems.
  • Design and detail firefighting systems – sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, pumps, and suppression systems.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations (demand, storage, pressure, pump head, and pipe sizing).
  • Prepare design drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD/Revit/BIM.
  • Develop BOQs, specifications, and material submittals.
  • Ensure designs comply with IPC, UPC, NFPA, IS Codes, NBC, and ASPE standards.
  • Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, HVAC, and Electrical teams.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and resolve technical issues.
  • For senior levels: Review designs, mentor junior engineers, manage clients, and ensure project delivery within timelines.

Skills & Tools Required

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing and firefighting systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), and MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of codes – IPC, UPC, NFPA, IS, NBC, ASPE.
  • Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Senior levels: Project leadership and team management abilities.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3–15 years of experience in plumbing & firefighting engineering/design.

Pay: ₹15, ₹30,000.00 per month
