Job Description

Head of Derivatives Execution will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Order Management and Execution at a global bank. The role is based in Fort, Mumbai.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the regulated Execution activity of the Derivatives Clearing and Settlement (DCS) business, working in close partnership with the DCS regional lead and broader management team.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks associated with derivatives execution, ensuring adherence to all exchange and regulatory requirements
  • Implement the DCS strategy aligned with the bank's overall business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Drive Client Engagement and Sales Growth for core HSBC Institutional and Corporate Client Base (onshore and FPI).
  • Oversee all aspects of the Execution process, including client pipeline/on boarding, implementation of new systems and order types/flows.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Exchanges and Clearing houses, Regulators, and Industry bodies.
  • Stay up to date with evolving regulations and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the bank's capital allocation strategy for derivatives activities.
  • Prepare and manage the execution function's budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Support the implementation of the new system execution platform.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in derivatives execution, with a proven track record of success in a leading Broker
  • In-depth knowledge of derivatives products, relevant regulations, algorithmic execution , DMA offerings and execution strategies
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles as applied to derivatives execution and clearing life cycle.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of professionals.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
