Job Responsibilities :

Manage the automation projects activities that are assigned as newor operational enhancement initiatives in R&D functional areas.

Contribute in designing, implementing, configuring & testingautomation systems, applications & tools, instruments and deviceinterfacing architectures.

Develop project proposals, detailed design specifications, operations& control philosophy, technical recommendation, user and training manuals.

Contribute in validations & certifications during factoryacceptance & site acceptance testing for automation systems and integrationpackages

Coordinate with basic & detailed engineering partners duringproject designing and execution stages.

Troubleshoot user issues related to data acquisition, tagconfiguration, historian management, custom definitions, query management, andalert monitoring.

Performance monitoring and periodic auditing for ensuring uptimeavailability and improve effectiveness of implemented automation system.

Review & update SOPs, SMPs, procedures and guidelinesdocumentation.

Conduct user awareness & trainings to increase adoption andsystem usage

Ensure periodic back-ups of process data, databases & systemconfigurations

Monitor & audit compliance with site HSE procedures /practices and Information security requirements.

Education Requirement :

B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, Instrumentation,Industrial Automation, Biotechnology from reputed institute.

Experience Requirement :

6-8 years as laboratory informatics , data engineer, databaseadministrator, application developer, managing scientific tools, applications& analytical lab instrument data management

3-4 years# experience desirable as research data scientist, dataengineer managing systems and application development in scientific or researchorganisation.

Skills & Competencies :

Aptitude towards information, communication and networktechnology to design, build and maintain automation systems, applications &interfaces.

In-depth knowledge of Laboratory informatics, SQL and scientificdatabases

Computer Science fundamentals and general purpose programminglanguages

Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalabledata management systems. Ensure systems meet business requirements and industrypractices

Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive modelsand proof of concepts

Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses forexisting data

Develop data set processes for data modelling, mining andproduction

Integrate new data management technologies and softwareengineering tools into existing structures

Create custom software components and analytics applications by employingvariety of languages & tools (e.g. scripting languages), interface systems

Working knowledge of Data warehousing and application of variousETL tools.

Applying machine learning algorithms and libraries

Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency andquality

Collaborate with data architects, data scientists and analystson project goals

 Has strong analytical skills, a self-starter and has a passionfor excellence

Apply innovative ideas in problem solving with reasoning skills

Aptitude to understand diverse functional domains for relevantprojects.

Team player, strong co-ordination and communication skills.
