About the role We’re looking for a Product Manager or senior Product Manager to lead our Cloud Platform team and report to Iryna Melnyk, our Product Director. You and your team will be on a mission to make Octopus Cloud, our SaaS offering, the first and best choice for experiencing what we have to offer, enabling secure, scalable, and reliable service to our global customer base. This role requires a PM who is comfortable jumping into technical chats with both our customers and our engineering team. Why this job is exciting: You'll work on complex technical challenges unique to managing a deployment automation platform at scale, and meeting the increasingly high needs of our global customers  You’ll have autonomy, ownership, impact and growth potential  Work in an organisation with a strong product operating model We’re building an enterprise SaaS product people actually enjoy using You’ll work closely with your Product Leadership Team (PLT) to identify the most valuable customer needs to address and define the best solutions Your manager (and other leaders) will be invested in your career and growth What you’ll do: Build an understanding of our customers across a range of industries and technology stacks Collaborate with your team in thinking big, unifying the technical vision, customer needs, and business goals to find solutions to deliver on these opportunities Partner with engineering to evaluate technical approaches for multi-tenancy, data isolation, disaster recovery, and scaling Octopus Cloud to support enterprise workloads Work in close collaboration with our Revenue and Marketing organizations to help accelerate Octopus Cloud adoption Inspire and excite the team to do the best work of their careers through stories of the purpose and impact of their work We are looking for someone like you who: Has multiple years of experience working on an Enterprise B2B SaaS product  Has hands-on experience managing complex products and can engage in technical discussions about distributed systems, infrastructure as code, network security and cloud architecture Can guide discussions with customers to uncover opportunities Has experience assessing opportunities and setting direction for the product/product area Has a highly collaborative approach and creates alignment within the organization across executives, decision-makers, and influencers Has worked closely with marketing, sales, or customer success teams to identify and prioritize changes that will unblock product adoption Compensation: Octopus has an internally open and transparent system for compensation. This ensures people doing the same work with the same skill get paid the same.  The compensation for this role is:Level 3 - Product Manager Maturing: $145k AUD / $155k NZD, Performing: $155k AUD / $165k NZD Level 4 - Senior Product Manager Maturing: $175k AUD / $185k NZD, Performing : $195k AUD / $205k NZD Salaries exclude Super and KiwiSaver. Step 1 (30 – 60m) – Introductory call with Talent Acquisition to discuss your background, the role, and answer questions.Step 2 (1hr) – ☕️ Coffee chat interview with a hiring manager and another Octonaut, exploring your experience (you’ll get the questions in advance).Step 3 (1hr 40m)   – Team interview with a small cross-functional group (e.g. Technical Lead, Design Lead, Product Manager), where we explore a product you led/worked on in the past, and your experience in more depth. This is another chance to ask us questions on top of mind and learn from various perspectives and experiences of folks on the team.Step 4 (30m) – Meet the PLT session to connect with your future peers, share your approach to product, and ask further questions.
