Designation: Associate – Patent Practice
We are looking for a suitable candidate for the above mentioned position to join our Intellectual Property Law Department at SGRI, Chennai.
Job Description:
Drafting patent specifications.
Drafting and handling response to office actions in India and all other compliance requirements as per the applicable patent law.
Preparing IP opinions including patentability, invalidity and FTO
Educational Background:
Master degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from premier academic institutions.
Master’s degree in Science
The candidate must fulfill the following requirements:
Total experience of 4-6 years in the area of intellectual property in R&D/law firm set up.
Atleast 3-4 years of experience in patent prosecution as per Indian practice.
Experience in filing response to office action & handling patent prosecution in India.
Registered Patent Agent in India.
Candidate must have a degree in any Engineering or Master in Science and worked on inventions related to Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Engineering.
Desirable but not mandatory:
Diploma/Degree in Intellectual Property
