Job description:
As the Structural Designer, you need to work closely with Engineers and other Designers to accurately interpret the engineering design and ensure the design is accurately captured in the 2D/3D design software. You are responsible for ensuring the design produces fit for purpose results in a constructible and organized drawing. As the Structural Designer, you need to ensure application of best practices into design work .
Responsibilities:
Producing technical drawings in support of engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction activities Develop 3D model and produce deliverables of concept / FEED/ design/ fabrication/ installation in accordance with contract requirements Produce/Extract 2D Drawings with adequate dimensions necessary to assist the Engineering disciplines and Fabrication/Construction personnel Perform discipline interface checks, identify conflicts, and take corrective action in coordination with other engineering discipline inputs Prepare material take off (MTO), review vendor drawings, ensuring vendor specifications are in full compliance with contract requirements Provide clarification and technical support during construction phase of the project. Exposure to EPC environments Knowledge in detailed Engineering projects is mandatoryJob requirements:
Academic: Bachelor of Technology/Diploma – Civil/Structures Exp: 5- 10 years relevant experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry with specific experience on Detail Engineering of Structural Analysis for Offshore Oil and Gas facilities – Wellhead platforms, Fixed Process Platforms, FPSO topsides modules & Turret Mooring System. SW or tools: E3D+E3D DRAFT / PDMS+PDMS DRAFT /AutoCAD/NavisworksBehaviours &inter-personal skills - Key points:
