At Basil, we are making an automated robotic food and beverage kiosk to be able to serve fresh, healthy, affordable food. This is a challenging problem requiring intense effort because we need to build a new product from scratch very fast while maintaining food safety, accuracy and quality.

Are looking for a role with end to end ownership on mechanical design
Note: It is a full time, fully in-person, long term role based in Gurugram. You will be executing the below tasks with a team of 3 - 4 mechanical engineers/product designers, along with an electronics and software team.
Day to day roles:Understanding critical requirements for systems, Design and develop these systems
from scratch or reverse engineer the available systems to meet the requirements for the product.Understanding and implementing a complete development cycle for the particular system or subsystem from ideation phase to mass manufacturing.Creating test setups for the subsystems to understand the reliability and pain points in the system.Vendor engagement and management for long term benefits of the organization.Complete understanding of GD&T and tolerance Stack up analysis and its implementation wherever required.
Understand the current systems and continuously work on the betterment of the systems.Collaborate with controls and electronics team to integrate the system.Assist in the creation and maintenance of design documentation.
This Role is for a person doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. Perform a complete cycle from ideation - POC - Design - Manufacture - Assemble - Test - Iterate.
Must Have:
Problem solving capabilities, Critical thinking, solid understanding of Solid mechanics, Theory of Machines, Materials, Hands on experience in Solidworks or similar CAD tool, Manufacturing drawings, manufacturing processes.
