What you'll do (Responsibilities) We're looking for an experienced individual contributor who enjoys working alongside other experienced engineers and designers to rapidly build and iterate on backend/API/platform infrastructure that powers our AI healthcare workers. Experience: 4+ years of experience building and optimizing backend or AI systems, with strong proficiency in Python Develop AI/ML systems. Build machine learning pipelines, fine-tune models, implement agentic workflows, and create robust AI systems that work reliably in healthcare environments. Architecture: Deep expertise in systems architecture and scalable infrastructure design Shape our technical foundation. Influence our AI/ML stack, contribute to architectural decisions, and help establish best practices as we scale. Work with Customers: Lead discovery sessions, guide pilot projects, and ensure successful deployments. Collaborate mostly remotely with occasional on-site workshops. Execution: Proven track record of leading, shipping and scaling AI-driven products Ownership: Self-directed and highly motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to excellence in quality and performance Curiosity: Intellectually curious and capable of bridging research insights with core engineering execution What we're looking for (qualifications) You're a senior IC who has built scalable backend systems before and thrives in fast-moving startup environments. Interest in healthcare, AI/ML systems, or experience with regulated industries is valuable but not required. Systems thinking. You understand distributed systems, can design for scale, and have experience with cloud infrastructure. LLM and agentic AI exposure .  Experience with large language models, AI agents, or agentic AI systems is a strong plus as you'll be building infrastructure that powers our AI workforce.
