Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Analyst to join our Tax Team at Qualys. The Indirect Tax Analyst will be primarily responsible for managing indirect tax compliance matters in India and for other international entities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Indian indirect tax laws, including GST. It would be an added advantage if the candidate has experience in handling international indirect tax compliances.

Responsibilities:

India Indirect Tax Compliance:

Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual return (GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C). Preparation of GSTR-2B reconciliation and following up with relevant stakeholders to get the input tax credit in company’s GSTR-2B. Review and reconcile GST input and output tax credits. Monitor changes in Indian indirect tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities on indirect tax matters.

International Entity Indirect Tax Compliance:

Coordinate and manage indirect tax compliance for international entities, including VAT, GST, and other local taxes. Collaborate with local finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. US sales tax compliance as needed

India GST Refund Claim:

Prepare and submit GST refund claims in accordance with Indian regulations. Maintain documentation and records to support refund claims. Monitor the status of refund claims and follow up with tax authorities as needed.

Process Improvement:

Continuously evaluate and improve indirect tax processes and procedures. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax compliance. Develop and maintain tax compliance documentation and manuals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field. Minimum of 1+ years of experience in indirect tax compliance. Strong understanding of Indian indirect tax laws, including GST, and experience in international indirect tax compliance.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently. Proficiency in tax compliance software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
