Job Overview :

As a Senior Java API with AWS Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Java-based APIs and integrating them with AWS services. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of our applications, contributing to the overall success of our technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

Java API Development :

- Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable Java-based APIs.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.

AWS Integration :

- Architect and implement solutions on AWS, leveraging various AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and others.

- Develop and maintain serverless applications and microservices on the AWS cloud platform.

System Architecture :

- Contribute to the overall system architecture, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and company standards.

- Provide technical expertise in the evaluation and selection of technology components.

Collaboration and Leadership :

- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, product owners, and other development teams.

Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting :

- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the system.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Java API and AWS integrations.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java API development.

- Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and deploying applications on the AWS platform.

- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and RESTful API design.

- Knowledge of serverless architecture and microservices.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
