Software Engineer – Backend (Java)

Job Type: Full-time

Experience Level: Mid-Level (3+ years)

We are looking for a proficient Backend Developer with a strong background in java to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend logic of our web applications, services, and systems. You will play a crucial role in the creation of scalable, high-quality, and innovative backend services.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust backend services and APIs using Java.
  • Work closely with front-end developers to ensure system consistency and improve user experience.
  • Integrate data storage solutions, which may include databases, third party APIs ex., Payment Gateway
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Implement security and data protection solutions.
  • Collaborate with the development team to discuss and solve problems related to application development.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate them into operations and activities.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Backend Developer specifically using Java.
  • Strong knowledge of web frameworks such as Spring Boot , Micro services.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience with relational (e.g., MySQL), including schema design, queries, and optimization.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between security boundaries in Cloud.
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
  • Ability to implement unit tests.


Additional Skills (Preferred, but not required):

  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and CI/CD tools.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) for full-stack development capabilities.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
