Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning: Develop and implement effective financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Compliance Management: Establish and maintain systems for managing financial policies, controls, and statutory obligations, ensuring alignment with social enterprise goals.
  • Audit and Reporting: Lead internal and external audits, prepare final accounts, and present accurate financial statements to stakeholders, including investors, donors, and the board.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with bankers, auditors, tax authorities, and external partners, communicating effectively as required.
  • Training and Capacity Building: Develop financial literacy and compliance capacity for internal teams and enterprise leaders.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports on financial performance, including P&L statements, sales and purchase registers, and expense registers.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Coordinate strategic financial planning with various teams to drive business growth and social impact.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA) or a master's degree is desirable.
  • Experience: 10–11 years of experience in finance and compliance roles, preferably in social enterprises, NGOs, or non-profit organizations.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of social enterprise models, double/triple bottom-line frameworks, financial management software, ERP systems, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
