Information Security Engineer (Rust)
Experience Level:
Junior/Mid-Level (0-4 years)

Responsibilities:

• Write clear, efficient, and well-documented Rust code to generate standalone binaries.
• Deploy and manage applications in a Linux production environment.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, debug, and maintain application health and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical production systems.
• Collaborate with Infosec colleagues to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
• Write and maintain application documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Professional Rust experience is essential; Golang experience is a plus.
• Strong foundation in Linux, including command line, scripting, and system internals.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and concepts, and experience writing robust, network-aware applications.
• Knowledge of building web and standalone CLI applications in Rust.
• Understanding of any reverse proxy such as Nginx or HAProxy is required.
• Solid understanding of fundamental data structures and algorithms.
• Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Experience with open-source development and community contributions.
