Horticulturist

Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee large-scale horticultural and landscaping projects
• Supervise gardening staff and allocate daily/weekly work schedules
• Monitor and maintain plant health, soil conditions, irrigation, and nutrition
• Implement pest and disease management strategies effectively
• Develop seasonal planting programs and landscape improvement plans
• Maintain detailed records of plants, fertilizers, pesticides, and garden budgets
• Introduce sustainable practices (composting, rainwater harvesting, eco-friendly fertilizers)
• Liaise with management for design, budgeting, and horticulture development plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field
• 1–3 years of proven experience in horticulture, landscaping, or estate/farm management
• Strong knowledge of ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, and soil science
• Leadership skills to manage a team of gardeners and helpers
• Ability to design, plan, and execute horticultural projects independently
• Good communication and record-keeping skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
