Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee, Tactical Buyer
We are looking for professionals with Strong operations experience in Tactical buying domain having people handling and customer management skills. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with S2P policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for all the activities related to accounts payable, which include:

• Spot source items to fill demands from purchase requisitions, requests for quotations, etc.
• Prepares and/or modifies specifications and inquiry preparation, purchasing, expediting, quote analysis, and auditing for compliance to contract/negotiated price.
• Ensures that all contract administration procedures are followed and uploaded in a central repository once the contract is executed by the sourcing group.
• Responsible for assisting and advising with ongoing administration of contracts with suppliers and for ensuring adherence to established contract and procedures and requirements.
• Monitors and communicates quality and delivery performance issues to suppliers, business users, and others, to determine source of trouble and take correction action.
• Responsible to resolve supplier related problems. Works with suppliers and business users to assure a positive and professional relationship, always establishing and maintaining open lines of communication.
• Supports business in preparations of estimates by contacting preferred/pre-approved suppliers for “budgetary pricing”.
• Assists in the communication of procurement policies and procedures and makes recommendations as needed.
• Continually assess operations to optimize the purchasing and logistics process through identifying cost reduction opportunities for the business.
• Prepare Monthly Activity Report identifying buyer activity, supplier activity, cycle reports, etc.
• Manages tasks and priorities of Procurement Coordinators

Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum years’ experience in the purchase of goods or services
• Proven experience with reviewing, verifying and processing requisitions and purchase orders
• Strongly prefer candidates with purchasing, supplier collaboration, or supply chain experience

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Experience negotiating with suppliers, building and maintaining supplier relationships, and providing excellent internal/external customer service
• Requires effective communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to effectively interact with staff at all levels
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Adapts to changing work priorities and assignments
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, meet deadlines, and prioritize work in a dynamic environment as timing is a critical function
• Analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Requires strong computer skills and knowledge
