1X2 Network has pioneered iGaming development for over 2 decades and now encompasses a number of game development studio subsidiaries. We supply a broad array of over 750 games to Casino operators worldwide. Across its studios, 1X2 produces a variety of games; including slots, table games, virtual sports and non-traditional gaming experiences.
Our team at 1X2 develops and distributes games to thousands of online casinos around the world- including a wide range of household brands such as William Hill and BetVictor, alongside the iGaming industry's largest content aggregators Entain, Games Global and Bet Construct.
1X2 HQ is based in Brighton UK, with further office locations in Shenfield, Hyderabad and Malta; as well as remote employees around the world.
The Position
We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications, contributing to the full softwaredevelopment lifecycle from concept to deployment and beyond. This role is idealfor a passionate developer looking to further their career in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-quality Java applicationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresWrite well-designed, efficient, and testable codeConduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peersEnsure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applicationsIdentify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugsParticipate in agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectivesContribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the team
Required Experience
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patternsProficiency in Java SE (Standard Edition) and Java EE (Enterprise Edition)Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similarKnowledge of RESTful APIs and web servicesFamiliarity with SQL and databases such as MySQLExperience with version control systems, preferably GitUnderstanding of software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum
Desirable ExperienceExperience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular or ReactFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWSKnowledge of microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker or KubernetesExposure to DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelinesExperience with testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNGKnowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
