AWS DevOps Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with expertise in Jenkins and Terraform to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, automation, and infrastructure management, with a focus on continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins on AWS. Knowledge of AWS IAM (Identity and Access Management) is also required to ensure secure and compliant cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines on AWS using Jenkins, Git, Terraform, and other relevant tools.

2. Collaborate with software development teams to understand their CI/CD requirements and implement automation solutions that streamline the software delivery process.

3. Configure and manage AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, and S3 to support CI/CD workflows and application deployment.

4. Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) templates using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.

5. Implement AWS IAM policies and roles to enforce least privilege access control and ensure the security of cloud environments.

6. Monitor and optimize CI/CD pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, and implement best practices for security and compliance.

7. Troubleshoot issues related to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and application deployments, and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.

8. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in DevOps, cloud computing, and automation, and recommend improvements to enhance our CI/CD capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

2. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS cloud environment.

3. Strong proficiency in Jenkins for building, testing, and deploying applications in CI/CD pipelines.

4. Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation.

5. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform for automating the provisioning and management of AWS resources.

6. Knowledge of AWS IAM policies, roles, and permissions to enforce secure access controls and compliance requirements.

7. Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git), branching strategies, and code merging workflows.

8. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automation tasks.

9. Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

11. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills :

1. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar certification.

2. Knowledge of serverless computing concepts and AWS Lambda.

3. Understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks in cloud environments.
