Job Description :


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux Administrator to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our Linux environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation, security, and performance of our Linux servers and virtual machines.

Responsibilities :

Server Administration :

- Install, configure, and maintain various Linux distributions, such as RedHat, CentOS, and Debian.

- Perform system administration tasks, including user and group management, file system management, and package installation.

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently.

- Maintain system security by applying security patches and hardening configurations.

Virtualization :

- Manage and maintain virtual machines using VMware technologies.

- Implement strategies for resource allocation and high availability.

Scripting and Automation :

- Automate routine tasks using Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting languages.

- Develop custom scripts to streamline administration processes and improve efficiency.

Database Management :

- Hands-on experience with MySQL database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

- Storage Management : Familiarity with Storage Area Network (SAN) management concepts.

- Networking : Solid understanding of network protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.

Skills and Qualifications :

- 6-8 years of experience as a Linux Administrator or related role.

- In-depth knowledge of Linux distributions such as RedHat, CentOS, and Debian.

- (Advantageous) Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE, and LPIC).

- Hands-on experience with MySQL database administration.

- Familiarity with VMware and SAN management concepts.

- Proficiency in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting.

- Solid understanding of network protocols like DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
