Studio Srijan was established in 1995 in New Delhi, India. Under the leadership of Principal Architect Gavish Sahni, it has grown into a team of over 50 members comprising architects, interior designers, graphic designers, and engineers. The firm has completed projects across various typologies and regions, with a collective covered area of over 1 Million sq. ft.
Position Title: Senior Interior Designer
Location: New Delhi, India

About the Role:
We seek a creative and experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead and manage design projects from concept to completion. With a minimum of 3 years of experience, the ideal candidate will bring expertise, leadership, and a passion for innovative design to our growing team. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional design sensibilities, strong project management skills, and the ability to mentor junior designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and present innovative interior design concepts that align with client requirements and project objectives.
- Oversee space planning, material selection, furniture layouts, and other design elements.
- Ensure designs meet aesthetic, functional, and budgetary goals.
- Manage interior design projects from concept through execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project progression.
- Conduct site visits to oversee project implementation and address design-related issues.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding and translating their needs into compelling designs.
- Lead client presentations and manage feedback to refine and finalize design solutions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and draftsmen, fostering skill development and creative growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to deliver cohesive results.
- Ensure all design documentation, including drawings, material specifications, and schedules, is accurate and up-to-date.
- Maintain consistency with company design standards and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Interior Design or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in interior design, with a portfolio showcasing completed residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
- Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD and SketchUp; knowledge of additional software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of interior design principles, materials, finishes, and building codes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
