Role & responsibilities

The Flexa Program Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining production programs for Flexa SMT Fuji Machines. This role ensures accurate program creation, smooth production setup, and continuous process improvements to achieve high efficiency, quality, and productivity.

  • Develop, modify, and validate Flexa programs for SMT production lines.
  • Perform offline and online programming for new products and engineering changes.
  • Optimize component placement, feeder setup, and machine cycle time.
  • Coordinate with production, planning, and quality teams for smooth NPI (New Product Introduction).

Troubleshoot program-related issues and resolve machine errors in a timely manner.

  • Maintain version control and documentation for all Flexa programs.
  • Conduct periodic audits of machine programs to ensure accuracy and compliance with process standards.
  • Train operators/technicians on Flexa programming procedures and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase throughput.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience in Flexa software and SMT programming (minimum 23 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of SMT process flow, feeders, and component placement.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in SMT production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret BOM, Gerber files, and PCB design data.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen will be an added advantage.
