Job Description -About the TeamInterested in helping develop quality documentation in a fast-paced environment? Talk to us about an opportunity to write for a team at Workday, Inc. providing content for the next generation of enterprise business applicationsAbout the RoleThe ideal candidate is an outstanding writer with experience creating content for enterprise software targeted to professional and technical audiences.Works closely with writers and editors to develop high-quality technical content.Researches and resolves content issues identified by customers or workmates by updating relevant topics.Drafts, maintains, and edits content for release notes and release publications, and backlog.Balances multiple deliverables across various product areas at the same time.Prepares content for online delivery.Learns and tests product functionality while writing documentation.Learns and applies Workday writing style to content using guidelines.Provides regular updates to manager and lead on project status.Tracks work using appropriate tools (Example: Jira).Mentors new writers with less experience in aspects of the job.About YouWe're looking for someone with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, and someone who is analytical with strong attention to detail, who works efficiently in a lively environment, and can prioritize assignments and deadlines.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree and 4+ years of technical writing experience or equivalent.Other QualificationsExperience implementing or working with enterprise software preferred.Proficient knowledge of DITA and XML authoring tools.Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).Proactive and able to work independently on multiple assignments.Background in human resources, payroll, finance, or higher education a plus.Software-as-a-service (SaaS) experience is greatly preferred.
