All associates at Marriott Tech Accelerator will be ANSR employees, delivering services exclusively to ANSR's client, Marriott International.Role Title : Principal Quality EngineerPosition Summary:Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to the Quality Engineering (QE) organization. Design and build new generation testing frameworks for enterprise grade distributed applications. Work closely with service provider Architects and review their designs for automation solutions. Evaluate and provide recommendations on different tools and technologies for frontend, middleware, and backend applications. Develop Quality Engineering strategies and standards, including KPI’s and Metrics for regression and performance testing for development teams. Educate Product teams on QE best practices and assist them in their adoption. Coach product teams in implementing QA and QE practices in a SAFe Agile environment. Evaluate current QA or QE process in Product teams and drive them to conform with established standards. Collaborate with Platform teams to ensure tools required for testing conform to standards and help implement new solutions as required. Work with Product teams to ensure integration/end-to-end test cases are identified and maintained. Devise QE solutions for CI/CD pipelines in public cloud or hybrid infrastructures. Understand application architectures and recommend solutions for end-to-end testing. Engage with other QE staff to deliver high quality testing solutions across the organization. Assist in the evaluation of QE-related vendors. Collaborate with QE tools architects/engineers to resolve issues and recommend improvements. Conduct POC projects on emerging QE technologies and drive them towards adoption in the organization. Mentor QE staff and assist in developing curriculum for staff upskilling.Expected deliverables may include: Quality Engineering Strategies, Test Strategies, Test Implementation Plans, Jira Initiatives, Epics and User Stories, presentations to Senior Management, and Marriott internal deliverablesJob Responsibilities:Quality Leadership:Mentors and coach’s other QE team members as well as product team members on QE tasks and proceduresCommunicates opportunities to improve quality to leadershipFunctions as a working SDET where neededAssists in setting best practice quality proceduresReviews and edits product documentationDrives the adoption of TDD, BDD and related test-first development methodologiesEstablishes the flow of work within the quality area including code reviewsProvides leadership and support to quality inspectionsFunctions as escalation point for SDETsCreates best practice quality proceduresDelivering Technology:Performs complex quantitative and qualitative analyses for delivering automated testing processes and toolsEnabling tooling such as Tosca, NeoLoad, Cucumber, etc.Facilitates CI/CD using a DevSecOps pipelineValidates solutions with enterprise architecture teamFacilitates achievement of expected deliverables and obligations of Services ProvidersEnsures proper coordination with appropriate IT and vendor teamsCoordinates with Operations and Infrastructure teams for deployment and production support activitiesDesign and execute end-to-end automated test scenarios using Tricentis Tosca, ensuring comprehensive coverage of business workflowsManaging Projects and Policies:Advises team on debugging aids available for environmentsPrepares testing schedules and documents expected resultsAssists in the scheduling and maintenance of lower environmentsAssists in the defect management processParticipates in the identification and monitoring of risks and issuesServe as a key member of the QE leadership teamSkills and Experience:Required:8+ years of IT leadership experience with a blend of deep technical knowledge and a customer-focused mindsetExperience in software development, test engineering, with expert-level expertise in multiple testing methodologiesExperience engaging highly technical architecture, engineering and operations teams and driving outcomes with QE automationStrong verbal and written communication and problem-solving skillsAble to guide the implementation of BDD, TDD and related approaches to software developmentExperience with Test Automation and DevSecOps tools (e.g., Git, JIRA, Ant, Maven, Jenkins)Undergraduate degree in an engineering or computer science discipline and/or equivalent experience/certificationPreferred:Demonstrated success leading medium- to large-scale initiatives/transformations.Proven knowledge of Agile methodology (preferably SAFe Agile).Experience with mixed and offshore delivery models.Good process management, negotiating, influencing, and problem resolution skills.Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Knowledge of business environment, service requirements, and hospitality culture.Ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, and influence appropriate courses of action.Ability to communicate technology lifecycles and strategies.Experienced in maintaining reusable test assets and integrating Tosca with CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation.Experience with Ready Api, Selenium or Playwright.Education and Certifications:Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification.Work Location: Hyderabad, India.Work Mode: Hybrid.Marriott’s core values:At Marriott, our core value make us who we are.
