Position Title: Financial Analyst

Role Brief:

One of our clients (An esteemed Chartered Accountancy firm) is looking for a Financial Analyst, who will play a pivotal role in our client’s mission to identify insolvent companies, execute strategic acquisitions, and undertake restructuring initiatives. You will be at the forefront of evaluating the financial health of target organizations, conducting preliminary due diligence, and making recommendations regarding investment in debt restructuring opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to assess the financial performance and stability of target companies.

 

Risk Assessment:

  • Evaluate the creditworthiness and solvency of potential acquisition targets by analyzing debt levels, liquidity ratios, and other key financial metrics.

 

Market Research:

  • Strong proficiency in market research, with the ability to gather and analyze external data sources to complement the information available in financial statements and enhance the depth of financial analysis.

 

Due Diligence:

  • Perform preliminary due diligence on target companies, including review of historical financial data and identification of potential risks and challenges.

 

Financial Modeling:

  • Develop financial models to simulate various restructuring scenarios, assess potential outcomes, and quantify the financial impact of restructuring initiatives.

 

Investment Recommendation:

  • Prepare investment presentations for senior management, outlining the rationale behind investment decisions and recommending strategies for maximizing returns on debt restructuring investments.

 

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of due diligence findings, financial analysis reports, and investment recommendations.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA) will be an added advantage.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or restructuring advisory services.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation methods, and risk assessment techniques.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.
  • Solid grasp of corporate finance concepts, including capital structure, debt financing, and financial restructuring strategies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts and investment recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive attitude, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
