As a Senior Database Administrator you willbe working with Lending Clubs Engineering Operations Data teams todevelop manage govern and maintain Oracle MySQL PostgreSQLdatabases. The position requires thorough working knowledge of theOracle internals AWS RDS (Oracle) Internals SQL performancedatabase performance capacity planning installation integrationconfiguration database design migration security troubleshootingupgrades refreshes and backup & recovery. You will beworking closely with the Engineering DevOps and infrastructureteams in maintaining a reliable environment around systems hardwareand operating systems server software.6 years overall experience Design Configureand Maintain Oracle and MySQL databases.Establish and maintain sound recovery and backup policies andprocedures Design Installation configurationpatching and upgrading of Oracle 19C database server software andrelated products. Develop data migrationplans to migrate legacy onpremises databases into AWSinfrastructure. Implement and maintaindatabase security (create and maintain users and roles assignprivileges) establish procedures to apply most recent CriticalPatch Updates to the databases. Ensure dataintegrity and availability Perform on callduties to keep the lights up 24x7. Establishand execute periodic disaster recoverytesting Capacity planning Database licensingsecurity and encryption Evaluation ofdatabase features and database relatedproducts Setup and maintain documentationand standards Must have: Monitor theperformance of Oracle databases and querythroughput Level 1 Troubleshooting databaseincidents Solid scripting skills using ShellPython. 6 years of Database Administrationexperience with 3 years of Oracleexperience.
