Shop Assistant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Store Assistant to join our team at Western Springs Market. The ideal candidate should be a male who is willing to start working early (around 7 AM), has a bike with a valid driving license, and is ready to assist with store operations, including deliveries. The candidate should be able to read and write in English (Beginner or Intermediate level) and must be willing to handle various tasks within the store. A plus point if he knows how to drive a car and has basic computer skills in Excel and Word.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Should know and be aware of product information and understand customer needs.
• Maintain store cleanliness and ensure shelves are well-stocked and organized.
• Assist in receiving, unpacking, and stocking inventory.
• Arrange and clean crates to maintain store organization.
• Follow store policies and health and safety guidelines.
• Deliver orders to customers using a bike.
• A plus if capable of driving a car for deliveries.
• Maintain delivery records and ensure accurate handling of orders.
• Perform basic computer tasks in Excel and Word for inventory or sales tracking.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Male candidate willing to start work early (7 AM).
• Must have a bike and a valid driving license.
• Ability to read and write in English (Beginner or Intermediate level).
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift and carry products as needed.
• Plus points: Knowledge of driving a car and basic Excel & Word skills.
