Roles & Responsibilities
Good working knowledge of Azure Cloud Platforms
- Execute the end-to-end ETL testing process.
- Define the scope, deliverables, and timelines for ETL testing projects.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes.
- Define testing strategies and methodologies tailored to ETL processes across On Prem & Cloud Platforms
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data extracted, transformed, and loaded across various systems.
- Conduct data quality checks.
- Execute manual and automated ETL test cases.
- Monitor and log test results, identifying any discrepancies or defects.
- Perform root cause analysis for defects and work with the development team to resolve issues.
- Implement and maintain ETL test automation frameworks.
- Develop and run automated test scripts using tools
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing.
- Ensure ETL processes comply with regulatory standards and data governance policies.
- Generate detailed test reports and metrics for stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior ETL testers.
- Provide training on best practices and emerging technologies in ETL testing.
Required Skills
- 2-8 Years of Experience in Quality Engineering/Assurance on ETL Testing skills
- Strong knowledge of SQL Queries and database management systems (e.g., MySQL,
PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Experience with automation testing tools - Strong in Python scripting
- Expertise in anyone of the ETL tools and technologies (e.g., Informatica PC, IICS, IBM DataStage, Apache Airflow, ADF, AWS Glue).
- Understanding of ETL processes on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Google Cloud Build, Github)
- Strong understanding of data validation techniques and data quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and design.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
