The role

Own the end‑to‑end edit of short videos (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Stories) tailored to each concept, audience, and platform objective. Deliver thumb‑stopping edits that hook in the first 3 seconds, sustain retention, and convert views into inquiries and orders.

Key responsibilities

• Edit 10–20 short videos per week with platform‑native pacing, hooks, captions, and sound design.
• Interpret the creative brief and raw footage to decide the editing approach best suited to the story, mood, and goal (awareness, engagement, conversion).
• Craft dynamic cuts, transitions, speed ramps, rhythm‑synced beats, text/graphic overlays, and clean end‑cards.
• Design motion text, simple animations, and basic composites; build and reuse presets, MOGRTs, and templates for speed.
• Add subtitles, captions, emojis, and on‑screen prompts optimized for mobile and silent‑autoplay.
• Perform color correction/grading, audio cleanup, music selection, and SFX layering with proper licensing.
• Repurpose master cuts into multiple aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) and durations for different channels.
• Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and social managers to align edits with brand tone and campaign goals.
• Manage project files, proxies, LUTs, and version control; maintain a tidy, reusable asset library.
• Track performance metrics with the team and iterate edits based on retention, completion rate, and CTR.
• Meet daily/weekly deadlines with high quality and low revision cycles in an in‑office, collaborative setup.

Must‑have skills

• Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro; strong working knowledge of After Effects/CapCut/DaVinci Resolve.
• Proven mastery of pacing, storytelling, rhythm, and transitions for vertical video.
• Solid color correction/grading, audio mixing, noise reduction, and music/SFX timing.
• Motion graphics for titles, lower thirds, kinetic typography, and simple logo reveals.
• Command of captions/subtitles, brand typography, and thumbnail/title ideation.
• Strong creative judgment to choose the right edit style per footage and objective.
• Ability to work from rough briefs, manage feedback, and deliver fast without sacrificing polish.

Nice to have

• Basic shooting skills (phone/gimbal) and lighting know‑how.
• 2D animation/illustration basics (Photoshop/Illustrator).
• Familiarity with wedding/event, lifestyle, and brand content aesthetics.
• Fluency in English and Hindi; regional language skills are a plus.

Experience

• 1–3 years of professional short‑form editing, or a portfolio that proves equivalent skill.
• Links to 6–10 best Reels/Shorts with a one‑line note on what was handled (edit, grade, motion, sound).

Success metrics

• Average weekly output and on‑time delivery rate.
• 3‑second hold rate, 50% retention to midpoint, completion rate, and reel saves/shares.
• Revision rate under agreed threshold; adherence to brand guidelines.

Tools and workflow

Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut/DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop/Illustrator, Google Drive, Slack/WhatsApp, LUTs/MOGRTs/templates for speed.

Employment details

• Type: Full‑time, In‑Office (Mon–Sat or Mon–Fri) at (Office Location).
• Compensation: Rs. 3,00,000 + performance bonuses.
