Systems Cloud Automation Engineer

Job Locations IN-Pune Requisition ID 20060510 Job Category Information Technology Travel Requirements 10%

Primary Responsibilities for this Role Include:Develops and maintains infrastructure-related automation spanning deployment, configuration, decommission, and services in support of hosting operationsDeliver automation specifically targeting AWS cloud and eventually other public and private cloud environmentsProvides operational support for automation, services, and deliverables within team scopeIndependently manages assigned projects and workloadContributes to documentation efforts to enable quicker support and knowledge transferProvides testing and quality assurance for automation projectsProvides bug fixes and new feature development on projects as assignedFollows SDLC methodologies and team standardsProvides quality support to our internal customersDemonstrates willingness to proactively improve processes and identify gaps in existing processesEssential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative fieldKnowledge of Python, Go or similar languagesExperience with Terraform and IaC knowledgeExperience with cloud technologies – AWS required; Microsoft Azure, GCP, and/or VMware optionalExperience in server administration and configuration (RedHat or Windows preferred)Experience automating manual OS administration tasksCollaborative team experience demonstrating problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills; intuitive thinking skillsAbility to independently learn new technoligies quickly from supplied documentationAbility to work well with others and to problem-solveAbility to work well under pressureAbility to train othersPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Advanced AWS experience and related certifications preferred, not requiredExperience automating VM deployment/decommissionExperience with Terraform, Puppet, and/or AnsibleExperience with networking technologies such as firewalls, webservers and load balancersExperience with Shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell, PERL, etc.)Ability to effectively work on multiple projects at the same timeExperience with change management proceduresExperience with ServiceNow development of catalog items and workflowsHas a detailed understanding of many technology areas in useAbility interface with employees of varying skillsets in a high-pressure environmentExperience developing REST APIsExperience with relational databases#SASSoftware Powered by iCIMS
