Role Description
The HSE coordinator responsibility is to ensure the HSE implementations are managed across the FM operations and the office environment to support the Company's activities in the Region. The HSE coordinator reports to the Regional HSE lead.
The HSE coordinator for Client Business will support the Client HSSE & FM Manager in delivery of the requirements set out below and provide support to FM (Facility Management) Operations in the region. Whilst the role is primarily regional based, it will require time in supporting the HSE initiatives/audits/operations as required in other regions for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
To support the Regional HSE and Regional Operations Managers in delivering the HSE Vision and Objectives for the Region.
To lead, coach, mentor and develop the site and Office based HSE team, and to support the overall HSE agenda.
Provide HSE oversight to FM operations, (including engineering & maintenance, soft services, Transport operations, Catering operations, Pest management) and Project management.
Support and coordinate the annual HSE plan delivery and ensure that the plan activities are implemented at site level.
To support the company HSE Management System and ensure policies, procedures and work instructions are maintained and communicated to relevant personnel and are consistent with the requirements of organizations policies.
Champion and Evaluate conformance and ensure continuous improvement and closure of gaps between current practice and requirements.
Support to develop and maintain site risk register and ensure that risks are managed in accordance with the company/ client Risk Management Framework.
To support the Client HSSE/FM Manager in delivering the Emergency preparedness processes and Critical Controls Management for the operations.
Support the site-based teams in incident investigation to identify appropriate root causes, and to ensure the quality and accuracy of incident reports, and effective close out of incident actions.
Ensure that HSE Performance data is analyzed to identify trends, lessons learned, and best practices are shared across the operations.
To champion the rollout of HSE initiatives and campaigns for the region.
Ensure Emergency Response Procedures are maintained and coordinate Emergency Exercise activity between the site, region and Global teams (as required).
Plan, execute and monitor HSE audit and assurance activities and timely action closeout for the Region.
Support Regional HSE / Regional Operations Manager in the contract workforce activities within the Region.
Guide site teams in the region to adopt the Environmental and Waste management activities to be managed in accordance with the Environmental Management plan that is in line with the local legislation and statutory norms.
Work with contractors to develop appropriate bridging documentation between company HSE Management System documents and contractor processes.
Promote a positive safety culture and good safety behaviors across the operations.
Qualifications
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Minimum 7+ years of experience with relevant exposure in HSE implementations in FM/PM Operations, of which 4 years should be in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
Working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Incident management, Transport safety management, Incident Investigation and HSE Auditing Techniques.
Recent relevant experience working directly for end client / operator.
Recent Experience of working in remote, or onshore location with multi-cultural teams.
University degree preferred – Bachelors or Masters in the discipline of science, engineering, OHS management, Environment management.
Must have recent experience in mentoring or delivering trainings to HSE personnel.
