Job Description

Our client sells a global leading GRC SaaS solution which empowers more than 1 million users globally. The New Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth through prospect/customer meetings, pipeline creation, and commercial deal management. The role will focus predominantly on enterprise clients within the private sector. This individual contributor role will drive growth primarily through the sales cycle from effective customer prospecting, pipeline management accurate forecasting through to deal completion. The right individual is enthusiastic and commercially focused with a proven track record in influencing, negotiating, and closing deal.

  • Reporting to: Head of Revenue (RSA)
  • Working environment & travel: Exceptionally busy, team-orientated environment. Driver’s license and own transport is essential.
  • Working hours: 07h30 – 16h00 or 08h00 to 16h30 or 08h30 to 17h00 (Hybrid)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate a qualified new business pipeline through cold-calling and other proven techniques.
  • Utilise strategic, proven sales methodologies to ensure that new business opportunities convert to new business software sales.
  • Prepare business cases, proposals, tender responses, presentations, and sales contracts.
  • Prepare a variety of sales status reports including activities, follow-ups, closings, and adherence to targets.
  • Ensure that the CRM system (Salesforce) is accurately updated with all necessary information.
  • Adopt a ‘solutions’ selling approach, rather than a features and functionality sales approach.
  • Effectively manage the end-to-end sales cycle from opportunity to deal close.
  • Actively increase your industry knowledge to educate and create awareness within the customer environment.
  • Develop and maintain excellent product knowledge and be able to sell the unique benefits of the solution.

Requirements

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience with a Demonstrated track-record in over-achieving challenging targets within an enterprise software solution sales role.

  • Adaptability: The candidate must be adaptable and flexible to navigate changing customer requirements, organizational dynamics, and evolving product features and functionalities.
  • Professional Communication and Relationship Management: Display professional business etiquette in all interactions, ensuring effective communication. Proficient in managing client expectations and fostering strong client and stakeholder relationships.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Must have a successful track record selling Enterprise Software. · Matric, at least two years sales experience in the IT industry · Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and internal teams. · Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. · Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. · Knowledge of sales processes, CRM systems, and sales-related tools is desirable. · Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. MUST HAVE Successful candidate must have their own laptop and function wifi.
