Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Chennai for an R&D Electronics Engineer. The R&D Electronics Engineer will be responsible for conducting research and development, testing new products, and developing efficient and reliable industrial automation solutions. The role involves working closely with a team of engineers to address technical challenges and enhance the capabilities of our product offerings.

Role Overview

As an R&D Electronics Engineer, you will design, develop, and prototype embedded hardware and electronics solutions—from initial concept through integration and testing—supporting products such as GPS/NTP servers, time-sync devices, frequency displays, and other synchronization or instrumentation equipment.

Key Responsibilities

·
Hardware Design & Prototyping

o   Develop circuit designs using microcontrollers, OCXOs, GPS modules, and analog/digital interfaces.

o   Create PCB layouts and assist in prototype assembly and debugging.

Embedded Systems & Firmware

o   Implement embedded firmware for time synchronization, protocol handling (e.g., PTP/NTP), and peripheral control.

o   Test firmware interaction with hardware components in real-time scenarios.

Product Testing & Qualification

o   Conduct functional, accuracy, frequency stability, and environmental tests.

o   Calibrate systems, debug issues, and iterate designs to meet precision requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

o   Work closely with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to refine prototypes and ensure production readiness.

Documentation & Standards Compliance

o   Prepare design documentation, schematic diagrams, test reports, and ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO, EMC, safety, etc.) Sertel Electronics.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's or Master's in Electronics, Instrumentation, or related discipline.

· –5 years of experience in embedded electronics design (ideal for fresher to mid-level engineers).

· Proficiency in PCB design tools (Eagle, Altium, KiCad).

· Strong understanding of embedded programming (C/C++).

· Familiarity with signal processing, precision timing circuits, GPS/GNSS modules, and analog electronics.

· Experience with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, frequency counters, and logic analyzers.
