Windchill Infrastructure Administrator & Support Engineer
Location: Bangalore / Chennai
Experience range: 7 - 10 years
1. Infrastructure Administration & Support Maintenance:
• L1/L2/L3 (Application Maintenance support) IT & Administration support experience
• Deep knowledge of PTC Windchill 11.x/12.x administration.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windchill servers (Application, MethodServer, BackgroundMethodServer).
• Manage Windchill components like WindchillDS (Directory Server), Apache/NGINX, Tomcat, and database connectivity (Oracle/MS SQL).
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the Windchill system.
• Perform Windchill upgrades, patches, and hotfix deployments.
• Manage Windchill vaulting and file system storage infrastructure.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve application/system-level problems.
• Support Windchill integrations with CAD tools (e.g., Creo), ERP systems, and other enterprise systems.
• Monitor Windchill logs and alerts to proactively identify issues.
• Manage user authentication (LDAP/SSO integration), roles, and access control policies.
• Ensure data protection, backups, disaster recovery planning, and compliance with IT policies.
• Work with cross-functional teams including PLM business analysts, developers, DBAs
• Understanding of ITIL practices and change management processes.
• Flexible to work in Shifts/Holidays/Weekends
• Very good Communication skills and customer handling
