Team Lead, Credit Portfolio Management-(WD54150)

Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank’s risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximize returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.

Job Purpose:-

To manage Regulatory reporting team for Risk Management function. Over time, the Regulator (RBI) has increased surveillance and reporting requirements.interpret RBI regulations/ circulars appropriately, streamline existing processes and ensure timely, accurate submission of all returns to the regulator, reply to RBI queries and handle RBI audit.

Key Accountabilities:-

Ensure regulatory reporting processes are effective, efficient and with adequate checks and controls in place. All returns are submitted accurately and in time. Liaising with internal stakeholders for streamlining the processes. Ensure queries and ad hoc reporting requirements from RBI are answered and attended to. Automation of RBS (Risk Based Supervision) data points and other key returns to help reduce manual intervention and increase efficiency. Remain updated on Regulatory environment such as RBI and MAS regulations, Basel II and III norms, IFRS 9, Ind AS 109, etc.

Job Duties & responsibilities:-

1.Verification of all Regulatory Returns / Internal MIS.

2.Ensuring timely and accurate submission of RBS () reports to RBI.

3.Automation initiatives of regulatory returns and related internal reports.

4.Putting in place detailed process manuals along with approvals from relevant stakeholders.

5.Handling RBI Audit and responding to queries and adhoc reporting requirements from RBI

6.Implementation of Ind AS 109, IFRS 9 when and wherever applicable.

7. Streamlining roles and responsibilities of the team basis experience and expertise. Maintaining high morale and thereby efficiency of the team.

Experience:- 

Good understanding of relevant risk policies and Regulatory reporting requirements, Basel II/III, IFRS 9/ Ind AS 109, etc. in order to ensure that the reports and the reporting environment conform to internal and regulatory requirements. At least 14-17 years of work experience in regulatory reporting from Credit risk standpoint.

Education / Preferred Qualifications:-

The job holder needs to be at least a post graduate. CA/ MBA / Graduate in Quantitative Finance will be preferred.

1. Good analytical skills

2. Good presentation skills

3. Good interpersonal skills

4. Good knowledge of regulations, credit processes and banking products, industries/sectors.

Technical Competencies;-

1.Good knowledge of credit processes.

2.Sound understanding of regulatory guidelines on credit issued by RBI (local regulations in India) and local laws and regulations that impact businesses in general.

3.Knowledge of various banking products and risks associated with them. 

4. Basic understanding of Quantitative analysis preferred.

Work Relationship:-

Need to maintain good working relationship with Internal and External stakeholders, such as Business team, Credit Control Unit, Finance team, Legal and Compliance, other product teams, RBI inspectors and other external agencies.
