Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:- Develop and implement strategic plans for the CSIT department in alignment with institutional goals.- Foster innovation in teaching, learning, and research in emerging areas of Computer Science and IT.- Lead the development of new academic programs and research initiatives.Academic and Research Oversight:- Oversee curriculum design, course development, and accreditation processes.- Promote high-quality research and secure funding through grants and industry collaboration.- Support faculty in scholarly activities and professional development.Administrative and Operational Management:- Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and policy implementation.- Recruit, evaluate, and mentor faculty and staff.- Ensure compliance with institutional, national, and international standards.Collaboration and External Engagement:- Build partnerships with industry, government agencies, and academic institutions.- Represent the department at national and international forums and conferences.- Drive initiatives related to internships, placements, and alumni engagement.Technology and Infrastructure:- Oversee the implementation and management of IT infrastructure used in teaching and research.- Ensure cybersecurity, data governance, and tech-enabled learning environments.Qualifications:- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security- Ph.D year should be before 2018.- Minimum of 10 years of academic or industry experience, with at least 5 in leadership roles.- 5 Publications in scopus/sci journals.- 2 guided students should be completed.- Proven track record of academic excellence, research, and/or innovation in CSIT.- Experience in managing interdisciplinary teams and large-scale projects.- Strong understanding of emerging technologies (AI, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data Science, etc.).Key Skills:- Leadership and team management- Strategic planning and execution- Budgeting and resource management- Research and academic development- Communication and stakeholder engagement- Knowledge of accreditation and quality assurance processes
