We're looking for a self-driven technology enthusiast who sees cost optimization not just as expense reduction, but as engineering excellence in actionKey ResponsibilitiesCost Analysis & OptimizationLead comprehensive cost optimization of AWS and Azure cloud services, infrastructure, and technology spend for all Arkose Labs products and services while maintaining operational efficiency.Analysis of AWS and Azure billing data, usage data from asset inventory and monitoring utilization data to assess Engineering teams' cloud consumption, identify wasteful spend, and provide actionable insights to optimize spendFinancial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in spending and financial performance across all Arkose Labs productsConduct deep-dive investigation of cost overruns and optimization opportunities through data-driven analysisDevelop and maintain cost optimization strategies, roadmaps, and forecasting modelsTechnical Leadership & AutomationAutomation with serverless products on AWS (Lambda, Step Functions, Event Bridge) and Azure (Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid), Python, Terraform etc. to repeat analysis, data collection, recommendation generation, and track benefit implementation to reduce Cost overruns.Create and maintain cost attribution models to specific cost centers and automated reporting dashboardsImplement cloud cost governance frameworks and best practicesStakeholder Engagement & ImplementationEngage with Engineering & Cloud Platform teams to drive optimization implementationWork closely with engineering teams to understand infrastructure requirements and provide technical recommendations for cost-effective architecture improvementsPresent findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholdersProcess Improvement & GovernanceEstablish KPIs and metrics to track cost optimization progress and benefit realizationDevelop cost optimization playbooks, documentation, and training materialsConduct knowledge sharing sessions with engineering teamsRequired QualificationsInfrastructure & Cloud technology industry experience (6+ Years)Proficient in AWS and Azure infrastructure and services with hands-on experience in cost management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management)Proficient in Python, AWS/Azure CLI, Terraform, and Git Hub workflows (4+ Years)Proficient in data analysis tools e.g., Excel, SQL (4+ Years)Experience with cloud architecture patterns, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelinesAbility to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and draw actionable insightsAbility to translate complex technical data into business insightsExperience in Engineering, Cost Optimization, and reducing Cloud spendKnowledge of Engineering practices and cost optimization methodologiesEducation & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science) or similar degree in Computer Science.Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Kubernetes) preferredKey CompetenciesSelf-Driven: Ability to work independently and take initiative on complex optimization projectsTechnical Passion: Real passion for technology with continuous learning mindsetCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesCollaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and application teamsResults-Oriented: Track record of delivering measurable cost optimization resultsReporting StructureThis position reports to the Director of Engineering, Pune and collaborate closely with SVP of Engineering as well as other engineering leaders globally.
