Job Description - QA Lead
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced QA Lead to oversee and guide our QA team, focusing on database testing and overall product quality. The QA Lead will be responsible for managing a small team of QA associates, planning and executing test strategies, and ensuring seamless collaboration with development and product teams.
This role requires a balance of hands-on testing expertise and leadership skills to drive quality across projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA associates, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
  • Review business, functional, and technical requirements to define QA strategy, scope, and effort
  • Plan, prioritize, and allocate testing activities to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Design and review detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for database and application testing.
  • Perform advanced database testing, writing and reviewing SQL queries to validate data integrity, transformations, and performance.
  • Drive and oversee functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
  • Establish and enforce QA best practices, processes, and standards.
  • Monitor and report QA progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure smooth defect lifecycle management.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and metrics to enhance eiciency and quality.

Requirements

  • 4 - 6 years of experience in QA, with at least 2+ years in a lead/mentoring role.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in database testing and ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with manual testing of web and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in bug/issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Redmine).
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional
    teams.
