We are seeking a Robotics Product Development faculty to join our product design team. The successful candidate will work closely with the faculty and undergraduate product design students to envision the future of robotics This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a team that is pushing the boundaries of Robotic Design


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with product designers to develop new robotic systems and features that meet societal needs and exceed expectations.
  • Develop and test prototypes of new robotic systems and features, ensuring that they meet technical and functional requirements.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical specifications and documentation for robotic systems and features.
  • Continuously improve the performance and capabilities of existing robotic systems, through design improvements and software optimizations.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in robotics technology, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the product design team.


Requirements:


  • An open mind set to collaborate effectively with students and faculty across multiple disciplines
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in robotics product development, including experience developing and testing robotic systems and features.
  • Strong understanding of robotics hardware and software systems, including sensors, actuators, control systems, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks/Fusion, to create and modify 3D designs.
  • Experience with Programming languages such as ROS, Python and C and Hardware such as Arduino/Raspberry Pi
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and address complex technical issues.
