We are seeking qualified and interested candidates for our client, a Pharma Engineering Consultant, to be based at a pharmaceutical project site in Kenya


Position: MEP Construction Manager

Location: Kenya

Duration in Months: 10 to 14 Months (Approximate)

Experience Required: Minimum 5 to 6 Years having worked in a pharmaceutical project in East Africa would be an added advantage.


Job Description:

  • Engineer should have good knowledge of Pharmaceutical project execution.
  • OSD production equipment installation
  • HVAC & Electrical installation
  • Utility equipment, Piping installation
  • Installation of fire protection system
  • Clean utility installation
  • Define the logical sequence of Operation to avoid rework and wastages of material and time.
  • Manage the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work, and overseeing quality control and safety.
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly activity progress reports, highlighting slippages and suggesting ways to expedite work.
  • Monitor variations and re-plan contractor’s activities.
  • Promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed.
  • Monitor the quality of materials arriving at the site for each discipline in relation to specifications.
  • Ensure availability of all design information and in case of deficiencies provide or obtain amendments or revisions required to meet field requirements.
  • Carry out site performance tests for mechanical installations.
  • Record and update all test results, reports, and certificates and submit to the client.
  • Communicate with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and others involved in the project.
  • Maintain regular communication and attend meetings with clients and their representatives to inform them of progress on the project.
  • Ensure compilation of As-Built documentation.
