Join the Sunraysia Community Health Services Consumer Advisory Group Expressions of Interest Now Open We’re Looking for New Members The SCHS Board of Directors is currently inviting expressions of interest from individuals who are passionate about community health and want to have a meaningful impact. As a committee member, you will: Advocate for community interests Offer strategic input to help shape health services Collaborate with other members and SCHS staff to enhance service quality and accessibility What is the Consumer Advisory Group (CAG)? The purpose of the Consumer Advisory Group (CAG) at Sunraysia Community Health Services (SCHS) is to provide a community perspective in relation to the planning, delivery and evaluation of SCHS’ programs and services. The community members will bring their own diverse experience and knowledge, sharing a common interest in the provision of health care. The community members will advise management on priority areas and issues requiring consumer and community participation, and on matters of community interest or concern. Community member representatives will be encouraged to utilise their personal social networks to discuss SCHS services and bring any associated broad issues, concerns, comments arising from such discussions to the attention of the committee. The community members will help ensure that the community is informed of SCHS services and processes. Eligibility Criteria To apply, you must: Be 16 years of age or older Live in Mildura or the wider Sunraysia region Understand the experiences and needs of SCHS consumers, including clients, families, and carers Represent a broad range of community views and, ideally, have links to community groups Be available to attend a minimum of 6 monthly meetings and occasional training sessions either in person or virtually Be willing to collaborate and contribute to improving health service outcomes for our community Please Note: Due to government regulations (Health Services Act 1988), current or former health practitioners or those involved in the provision of health services are not eligible to join the committee. Additional Requirements Successful applicants must: Maintain confidentiality and sign a confidentiality agreement Undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC) (facilitated by SCHS)
