Purchase Manager_Band ( C )

Job Highlights:

Domestic & International Sourcing, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Supplier/Vendor Follow-up, Purchase vendor development, Cost Estimation, Price Negotiation, Maintaining Quality Standards, Import Sourcing & Documentation,

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, source, evaluate and onboard new OEM/Manufacturers (vendors) in China for procurement of IT products.

  • Responsible for Global sourcing of new OEMs and BOMs

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs, lead times and quality.

  • Effective negotiation of contracts and agreements with vendors, including terms and conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules.

  • Effective drafting of contracts and agreements to safeguard companys deals with vendors

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues related to quality, logistics, or customs.

  • Keeping track of Air & Sea Shipments

  • Monitor vendor performance and develop action plans to address any issues.

  • Obtaining/Updating BIS/WPC certification for products

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, vendor agreements, and related documentation

  • Managing Re-order points & placing purchase orders in timely manner

  • Ensuring that products and services purchased meet the organization's quality standards and specifications

  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, product developments, and regulatory requirements in China.

Candidate must have:

  • Candidate should have great negotiation and relationship building skills

  • Should be willing to travel domestically

  • Must have strong experience in acquiring new vendors, managing contracts, and negotiating deals

  • Strong Knowledge of customs regulations, clearances, import/export procedures, and international trade practices

  • Must have coordinated with CHA and Freight forwarder agents and have handled import logistics duties

  • Strong Analytical, Interpersonal & communication skills in Hindi, English & Chinese

  • Ability to work under pressure conditions and meet deadlines with expected customer expectations

Eligibility:

  • Candidates with Bachelors/ Masters in supply chain management or Purchase specialist course would be an added advantage.

  • 5 to 9 years of overall experience in Purchase and Import Sourcing & Documentation and 3+ years' experience from specifically China.

  • Preferred, if have purchasing management experience in IT Hardware / Consumer electronics industry with Chinese counterpart.

Must have handled Purchase activities in an at least 200 Cr. turnover company
