Deputy Manager-Procurement:

Objectives of the Job:

· Candidate should have commanding experience in procurement of Engineering Services/Software/Hardware (Indirect Purchasing) . Experience in procurement of technology Services such as Software development, engineering Services or related commodities . Experience in procurement of services required for simulations, testing, automation, application development etc would be an add on. Exposure in outsourcing of services, setting up offshore development centers would be highly desired.

· Derive commodity strategy, planning and execution with outperforming results for the organization

· Exposure to Commodity specific supplier base and identify new suppliers setting up sourcing road map

· RFQ processing, techno commercial evaluation of offers, Negotiations with suppliers, sourcing recommendation and business awarding.

· Coordinate with Procurement colleagues across various Mercedes entities for alignment on sourcing strategies and volume bundling. Promote National Buy.

· To ensure that all goods & services are purchased for the organization achieving the objectives: Best value; In-time Delivery; Minimized investment; Efficient administration

· Adhere to Global Procurement policies

· Alignment of procurement activities with user departments and managing stake holders

Job Responsibilities :

1) Sourcing Strategy:

Analyzing and calculating costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure. Generating and implementing efficient sourcing and category management strategies. Identify unfavorable events/risks through analysis of data and prepare control strategies. Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements. Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs

2) Supplier Landscape: Continuously screen the domestic market preparing comprehensive supplier landscape and comprehensive strategy for the commodity. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships.

3) Management Executing RFQ:

RFQ preparation and processing with shortlisted vendors. Obtaining competitive offers and evaluating the offers various techno commercial parameters. Leading the supplier evaluation process for selection of suppliers. Collaborate with stake holders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company. Experience in procuring IT/Engineering Services/related commodities

4) Negotiation with suppliers

Finalizing the negotiation strategy and negotiation design. Negotiate with the suppliers and achieve the target cost. Selecting the supplier based on comprehensive evaluation of the offers in terms of best in class price, delivery and quality. Experience in using various price plausibility tools like: Price breakdown, Bottom up cost calculation, Open Book Calculation & Linear Price Performance.

Knowledge on applicable indirect taxes in India is must. Experience to working in STPI & SEZ environment is preferred.

5) Purchase Orders

Generating sourcing recommendations and creation of Purchase Orders and contracts. Negotiating with the suppliers for agreement on legal and commercial terms and conditions. Job also involved creation and finalization of maters service agreement and procurement agreements with the suppliers.

6) Administration

Follow the purchasing system and procedures of Procurement according to the company activities and market. Monitor and control all purchasing activities and procedures of MBRDI. Suggest on the improvement in MBRDI Purchasing system; Monitoring and checking payment and material requirement planning. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

7) Internal Auditing: Auditing of Purchase Process, as per ICS

8) Synergy with other Daimler units in India and Global IPS departments

Qualifikationen

Qualifications:

Education :

Bachelors of Engineering / Masters in Business Administration

No of Years: 6-9 years

Type of Work: Purchase, Negotiation, Process knowledge, Intercultural competence

Areas of Work: Supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, contract management

Specific Knowledge: (Skill / Languages etc.)

Astute negotiation and analytical skills + Possess excellent Power point skills
