Our goal is to create an environment where we all win with precision.Job DescriptionYour CareerPalo Alto Networks SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) group is looking for a seasoned and accomplished Principal SQA engineer with experience in validating core networking,security features & solution testing in the SD-WAN team. You will be part of a world-class software engineering team that works on various ground-breaking technologies in the SD-WAN area. You will work with a multi- functional team of engineers solving interesting problems.We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.Your ImpactWork in a small and fast paced team to solve important customer problems and deliver most impactful resultsContribute in all phases of end to end product and solution validationWorks closely with PM, TME, Customer support teams to understand the customer use cases Work with different development and quality assurances groups to achieve the best qualitySuggest and implement improvements to the QA process Work with Dev Ops and the Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issuesLead technical discussions, mentor junior team members, and support customer deployments as needed.QualificationsYour Experience 10 to18 years of relevant experience, with a BS or MS degreeExpertise with standard TCP/IP protocols such as ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP & IPSec VPNsExpertise in testing of Layer 2/3 networking, routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF & EIGRP, MPLS, IPSec, Qo S, NAT, and policies etc.,Expertise in networking features like Multicast, IPv6, DNS, NAT & DHCPExpertise in System, Solution, Scale, Performance, interoperability, and failover testing of SD-WAN solutions Own the test strategy, architecture, and execution plans for enterprise-scale SD-WAN solutions.Be able to build and maintain complex networking testbedsExpertise with performance characterization of a networking productsExpertise in test orchestration, control plane, data plane, and security features of SD-WAN platformsProficient in using traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent), protocol analyzers (Wireshark), and monitoring toolsExpertise with Automation/Programming using Python and Rest API'sDesign and implement test frameworks, environments, and automation for system-level validation.Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi, qemu/kvm, Microsoft Hyper-VExcellent problem-solving, debugging/troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused mindsetAdditional InformationThe TeamOur engineering team is at the core of SD-WAN products – connected directly to the mission of providing world class SASE solutions.
