Position Description:

The Power BI developer (Software engineer) is responsible for understanding business requirements in the BI context and designing data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights, create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models, create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI. Developer also needs to design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics. This position reports to senior Delivery manager and at Pune, India.

Essential Responsibilities:

Ability to Connect to various data sources (web and others), import data, and transform data for Business Intelligence.

Ability to build an appealing dashboard, visual reports, and KPI scorecards

Create a proof of concepts for clients in short notices and help in presentations

Work concurrently on multiple project assignments

Direct interactions with US based user stakeholders regarding requirement gathering and demo of the reports

Suggest process improvements

Bug fixing, user training, providing resolution to user queries

Help in formulating testing strategy, test cases, test-based design (TDD) for the reports developed

Help in Knowledge Management – Document the important aspects of the product/project

Job Requirements:

BTechs/BEs/MCAs or equivalent with between 4 to 8 years of development experience in Power BI

Power BI/DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)

Data warehouse development, SQL Developer skills, and SSAS/SSIS/SSRS skills are welcome, but not mandatory

Knowledge of cloud (Azure, AWS) ETL related tools preferred.

Have good knowledge of data visualization, graphs, and charts, Power BI development and administration.

Knowledge of data modelling and Analysis services

Knowledge of mathematical measures.

Ability to build an appealing dashboard, visual reports, and KPI scorecards

Experience in connecting to legacy databases (IBMi, Unix, etc..) is a plus

Competencies Required:

Analytical skills – Come up with excellent design

Taking ownership - Coordinate and collaborate with stake holders for value creation

Innovations – Contribute to process improvements
