Looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Associate with 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing payroll, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and providing excellent support to employees regarding payroll inquiries.


Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

  • Manage end to end payroll processing activities and its deliverables for the organisation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and payroll vendors to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with payroll vendor to drive the payroll project agenda including enhancements, bugs and employee queries.
  • Detailed validation of payroll inputs and payroll outputs to ensure accurate and error free payroll processing.
  • Identify methods to improve efficiency of payroll processes and draft SOPs for the same.
  • Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders in validating Income tax calculations, Form16 validations and quarterly E-TDS filing validations.
  • Process RSU’s, Tax Gross Ups and Perquisite valuation for applicable employees in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Address employee queries related to payroll in a timely manner.
  • Manage end-to-end employee benefits (NPS, Pluxee etc.) in collaboration with vendors for Lilly employees.
  • Identify various payroll reporting needs and publish periodic dashboards

Compliance:

  • Ensure all periodic payroll compliances are met accurately in collaboration with external compliance vendor and all statutory payments are made before deadline in collaboration with the external vendors and the internal teams.

Data Management:

  • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and tax details.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and distribute regular payroll reports, including a summary with detailed analyses for management monthly

Query Management:

  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Audit Support:

  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: ** Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.

Vendor Management:

  • Verify the invoices of vendors working with HR.
  • Ensure payments of all vendors are processed on time with due internal approvals.
  • Strong documentation of collaboration exercise with vendor


Education & Experience

  • Experience: 5 to 8 years of payroll experience, preferably in a managing payroll for the large organization with 2000 plus head count
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Bcom, accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Like ADP, SAP, Workday) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in processing payroll data.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot payroll issues effectively.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
