Quality Assurance Engineer, Amazon Autos

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will join the team of hands-on, passionate and seasoned SQA professionals developing innovative consumer-centric product solutions.
In this role you will:
•You will work with Development teams and our QA organization to scope out features and understand the customer requirements, then work side-by-side with the team to ensure the quality of our system.
• Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented. Understand performance impacts over the product.
• Create test cases
• Automate tests using internal and open source tools & infrastructure
• Review user interfaces for conformity.
• Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
Key job responsibilities
• You create and execute test plans with high quality test cases for straightforward scenarios involving one or more product components and features. You clearly your document your work.
• You perform initial defect triage and root cause analysis. You correctly log defects and provide relevant data to partner teams so they can address issues.
• You are able to analyze test change requests (e.g., addition, removal, or modification to existing features etc.) and provide recommendations on how the change might impact test scope and/or product behavior.
• You have some experience with the STLC and a basic knowledge in test methodologies, You are skilled in four core software-testing techniques: (1) equivalence class partitioning, (2) boundary value testing, (3) verifying each requirement and (4) state transition
• You have basic knowledge in a scripting language. You use this knowledge to debug, troubleshoot, create and maintain test automation scripts . You create simple tools to reduce manual effort or more accurately audit component or improve feature quality.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience- Experience in software-testing techniques (like equivalence class partitioning), and software testing life cycle
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in API & Mobile testing- Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
